A lot of fun in our first day
... s ice cream lab. All we really did was we each got a scoop of ice cream. I got sour lemon sorbet, Felix and Baba/Mama got strawberry kiwi, and Baba and Mama shared a merlot raspberry truffle. After we ate our ice cream, we literally saw a roster in a parking lot.

After An Experience Not To Be Forgotten- To Home
We are up early this morning. I guess the anticipation of getting back to our home after almost an 8 week absence doesn't allow for staying in the sack any later than 0600 hrs. It doesn't take very long to get the rig ready for travel. We are on our way by 0800 hrs.
The 122 mile journey is for the most part uneventful. The most perturbing thing on the trip has keeps cycling over and over again like a bad dream. Of course this unpleasantry occurs once again- several times ...
Malibu - Unsere letzte Nacht im RV
... sind wir auf dem Campingplatz Stereo geweckt worden: Erich und die Amtrack-Züge haben uns unsanft aus dem Schlaf gerissen, wieder mal kurz nach 6 Uhr. Carsten hat dann noch beim Versuch, etwas weiter zu schlafen, einen geschäftlichen Anruf bekommen, womit dann die Nacht entgültig vorbei war. Not much of nothing!
... and I went out on some errands, one of which was stopping in at a local vegetable/fruit market. David got several cartons of VERY freshly picked strawberries (we could see the fields directly behind the fruit stand) along with several chocolate dipped HUGE strawberries for us to have after supper later. Can’t wait!
The rest of the day has been spent enjoying the beautiful patio in the back ...

The real first stop: Malibu for lunch at the seaside chain restaurant called Duke's. Overpriced but tasty burgers, we didn't mind paying for the view and holiday atmosphere. Valet parking? You want me to hand over the keys? Sounds Dodge to me! Now where's that guy going with my car? Now lets hope we will recognise it when/if he comes back with it.
