... a picture and explore, but we had to keep going. What we did do was attach our GoPro to the top of our car and get some great footage. Oatman is a tourist trap that has donkey's wandering the street. It seemed great, but we just drove through although not without interruption. • Arrived in Bullhead City, AZ
    • While pulling into the city I ran over a nail and popped a tire!
    • Ugh! Good thing I have road side assistance.

Reluctantly we said goodbye to Magnificent GC, and headed off into the Mojave desert in search of "Pirates Cove", a desert resort on the banks of the Colorado river. As was becoming habit, I was up at 6 am and set off driving whilst everyone else stayed in bed, then we stopped for breakfast at 10 am with half the journey under our belt! When we arrived at Pirates Cove, we had a panic, because they had no record of our reservation ! ...

... only about 15km from our campground on the other side of Barstow and just couldn't get there any other way. I'm not sure of the temperature but it would've been high 30's/low 40's coz we were really hot just sitting in traffic (we have no air con - you don't need it in Canada lol). We weren't too sure how Toby would handle the heat to begin with, and then to be just crawling along the freeway as well we were a bit worried about overheating, but he was a trooper & had no ...
