... half a minute. Emma got 'N' and confidently blurted out "not, nan, newt", with the first second, followed by a 29 second long "errrrrrrrrrrrrr", followed by about 5 minutes of continuous laughter. Weather: not seen a cloud since Yosemite, very cold in Grand Canyon, hot everywhere else. Food: nothing exceptional but lots of it. We had a great visit with Rusty’s niece Ashleigh and her 2 beautiful children
while we were in Phoenix. We were hoping to see a friend of ours from Pt.
Orchard but she was in Las Vegas during our stay….maybe next time.

... cleared Williams, then Flagstaff and finally began the familiar descent down 89A into Oak Creek Canyon. As we pulled into Uptown Sedona I could see a heavy squall in the distance above Chicken Point, less than a mile from our house. As we turned into the driveway the rain let up.
Home at last. The trip was complete. Our months of planning and anticipation finally over. The hug that we shared at the door signaled our satisfaction with the journey. What a ride! ...
