    ... the sky. Timber yards contained mountainous stockpiles of logs and heavily laden timber trucks are commonplace.
    Odessa proved to be quite a find. As we drove into town we were confronted with a marching band stretching clear across the road. Apparently Deutschesfest starts tomorrow.     I'm home, safe and sound. I got to take my beloved shower last night and rest in a human-sized bed. Had some salami from Provence this morning. It was bitter-sweet. I'm very happy that I took this vacation, and thank you for reading along. I hope you enjoyed things.
