... much of the day of the beach. Walk along the beach, and surfing the waves on the Gold Coast. Even the kids had a go at surfing the waves, they were really good and hilarious at the same time.

Friday 21st August
WHITEWATER WORLD
Again with the RACQ tickets we were able to get in early. Altho Toby was a bit car sick so that slowed him down a little for the first hour or so. But once he was feeling better it was full steam ahead ...
Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia adwubby... At least I was able to save a little money from that job, and I am working at Pether's for one more weekend, then I will be moving on. My plans are to go to Townsville and then further north to Cairns and scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef!
I will be leaving Mount Tamborine and going back to civilization on June 28, and I am very excited to be moving on, even if I am not certain to find another job. I will take it day by day.
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia nadinekarl... back for another go on the Spooky Coaster and then again on the Wild West Falls. It was about 11am by then and we headed to find mum and Celeste, who were doing some shopping, before we went to the 11.30 session of the Police Show. Even though the show has been going for years and I have seen it atleast 10 times, it is still enjoyable to watch everytime. Before the show starts, they have a policeman out the front that is a ...
Surfers Paradise, Australia bethfisher... we went to shul. there was nothing too eventful except that they asked me to do anim z'mirot, and instead of 7 aliyot and maftir, there were about 20 aliyot and maftir. I did some magic and although everyone predicted that it would rain today, I brought sunshine. and on that note we spent half of our day at the beach because it was so sunny. The beach was really rough but it was ...
Surfers Paradise, Australia greenj123... back into town. Here we saw "The largest building... that people live in." The Q1 building is the largest residential building in the world. Which places it as the 20th largest building in the world. Not much of a claim to fame, but they are rather proud of it. The most amazing thing about it as the air show we saw doing fly-overs of the Indy race. That part was cool. It was an okay Saturday, all things considered.
Broadbeach, Australia nanonano63... it's because the Dr was from Peterborough of all places! That night I ended up in the ****** backpackers, Cheeky Monkeys on the Wet T-shirt night. It was worse than I imagine and lads, one girl got her baps out (obvious plant who worked there) - I bet her parents are so proud! I then ended up heading to the other backpacker meat market with a couple of guys from my hostel, Cocomangos which is slightly better as it has a dancefloor as opposed to dancing on the ...
Byron Bay, Australia amandaseims... very well. I have asked a few people what a bilabong is but nobody seems to know. Other than a line of clothing. According to Jeff's wife, its a lagoon on a river. Dozens of night clubs are all within walking distance of city center. I joined a group outing from the hostel where you pay 15$ to get entry and a free drink at two night clubs plus two drinks at the hostel. I think its the only licensed hostel. Saturday was a day ...
Surfers Paradise - Gold Coast, Australia wilbertThe time has arrived boys and girls for this guy to start getting super excited about the new football season, which is the reason why I got bugger all sleep last night and why I'll probably end up making a few spelling mistakes. I've also had a few shocks this week, which I'll talk about later. Getting back to last Monday, we were dead at work so me and Gaz kept ourselves amused dancing round the shop like idiots and just having a laugh. I got back to the hostel and didn't really ...
Brisbane, Australia bluenoseontour... with England fans and the songs started getting blasted out. The game kicked off at 2am and considering I'd been on the jim beam and cokes since half ten I was coping pretty well. Sarah and Charmaine accompanied us to the game but kept there distance when we started to yell obscenties at the big screen. I couldn't beleive how poorly they played again, it'd help if that bald swedish idiot had the bottle to drop the likes of Michael Owen and Becks and what the hell is ...
