The theatre was a huge screen, several stories high, but curved like a big dome with a monstrous projector and huge sound system.     ... for our Grand Tour we suddenly find ourselves running out of time. It's a timey whimey thing.

    I am hoping to be fairly diligent about keeping this blog regularly through the journey. We will be meeting our friend Scott from the East Coast when we arrive in Vienna and later we expect to meet with other friends from Georgetown when we are in the Netherlands. We have been looking forward to this trip for years and the excitement is building as the days count down!

    ... passport control. Same was moving along until there was an announcemnt about the Istanbul flight, botching any fluidity. All the while the clock was ticking. It seems the most suspicious-looking staff must be chosen for passport control.

    For our 0410 flight, we boarded c 0355, I am sure well after last call. All the dominoes would have been destroyed if we were not able to board.

    ... not tired so he takes the window seat and watches the sights from 39000 feet. Every once in a while I hear the click of another picture as he snaps photos of the earth below us; highways, fields, towns; lakes. We will look at these sometime and compare them to Google Earth views and try to figure out what direction the plane took.

    What I had thought was a 4 hour flight is in reality only 3 hours and 15 minutes. The time really did pass ...
