Well, here we are in the heat and swelter of summer and I'm thinking about lightweight but warm and cozy winter coats. I'm starting to prepare for my November River cruise where packing everything you need in the smallest suitcase you can stand to lug around the streets of Paris is a clever balancing act. I remember Rose packing for Portugal. Her suitcase was gigantic, after all she wanted to be fashionable on our ...

Many of you (who were kind enough to read my ramblings from San Miguel last winter) have asked me if I intend to blog again this year while we are away. My first inclination was to say "no". I felt that there was a real risk of "beating it to death", much like a lame sequel to a really great movie! I have to admit that I was thrilled that so many of you read and enjoyed my blog last year, and flattered that you wanted me to ...

... vintage shopping, visit a Starbucks and take in some hockey. Did you know that Wayne Gretzky is from Brantford?! Maybe someday I'll be as good a player as him - I just need to get someone to make skates that fit on paws!

Of course, what visit would be complete without a trip to the library. I went and had my photograph taken at the Brantford Public Library. It's very nice but I'm a loyal cat, I'll be sticking with Fleetwood Library!
