... Korean War, Vietnam War, and Persian Gulf War.

Today Fort Sumter/Andersonville is a peaceful, green park for remembering. The entire site is a powerful reminder of the evil that men do to other men and women who are their captives.

Interesting note: There are records of at least two women who followed their prisoner husbands to Andersonville. Both worked in the hospitals at the camp. One buried her ...

Given its rural setting in west central Georgia, it is rather amazing that it would be the home of the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter. Drove just under 300 miles to Perry, GA. Found a stopover at Fair Harbor RV Park just off I75. Neat park all treed, cute little lake in the middle of it, great electric and cable. Just what we needed after getting in around 6 that evening.

... 8212;much larger than we planned or certainly needed.

I have really struggled sleeping lately. Some days I do not get into bed until after midnight. Last night I woke up at 4am and thought it was time to get up. This is only important because my poor sleep and resulting lethargy will follow me all day. However, this morning I woke up determined to make new memories. Our new journey of life is not a ...
