... but he was actually really interesting to talk to and he loved the fact we were British. He said it will be a day he will always remember. I guess I do have that affect on people. (Haha) So we spent that day and the next just chilling out on the beach. It was a lovely place but not much to see so I doubt I would go back. Andersonville excursion

A travel blog entry by sethfield on May 02, 2015

As my time in Columbus came to an end, I made a daylong excursion to the Civil War prison site at Andersonville, an hour to the east of Fort Benning. Jimmy Carter National Historic Site, Plains, Georgia. Given its rural setting in west central Georgia, it is rather amazing that it would be the home of the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter. We were able to walk around the farm where he grew up and visit Plains High School, which he attended. Most of the town hasn't changed a bit since his boyhood. After high school he attended the Naval Academy and graduated from there in 1946. ...

    A Thankful Thanksgiving

... Ible's family. All food was home made and extremely delicious. Ible's mother's cooking skills knows no bounds indeed. Despite not being with my own family and friends, I am thankful that I was able to spend it with some pretty awesome people. Ible's family has been a delight to be with and we have had some fun times since being here, but our time to leave actually is just around the corner. Tomorrow, I will ...
