... what we have at home. I bought a new dress (my favorite thing to buy) and I won't be disclosing the cost for my own well being. Sorry, Mom.

After our morning shopping, Mari got us all jacked to go to the beach because it seemed like such a beautiful day. The sun was shining so we figured we would be fine in just our swim suits and beach cover ups. Boy were we wrong! We made it about half-way down the boardwalk before we realized it was freezing cold ...
Wybrali ...
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand kirst-leszek09... on the sentences he wishes you to say get more and more complicated as you would expect. This is actually a very entertaining way of learning as he is very harsh on the boy and lets the girl get away with murder. Many is the time he'll make the boy repeat a word like 'Puerde' three or four times until he gets it perfect and all the while Martin and I are screaming at the poor idiot 'puerde!' until he eventually gets it right. We must be quite a sight for other cars, shouting ...
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand dantheeducator... in the hills that week and had gone missing in a snowstorm. Both he and his walking partner´s bodies were eventually found about 300m from the hut they were heading for. Very sad, though it was interesting as it was national headline news for days. I suspect that if the CEO of the National Museum at home had met the same fate it would have been a 5 minute snippet on the 6 o´clock news - perhaps this showed just how small New Zealand really is ...
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand sheerin09A final pack of the suitcases (thank God it was the last time), and we're off to Dublin for the flights home.

Not a good start, as the Dublin to London flight was delayed over an hour, but we had plenty of spare time built in, so we had no problem catching the next flight. London to Hong Kong was a chock-full ...
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand zednikFrom Rotorua, we drove and drove and drove. Our camper van is pretty good this time. From what it lacks in cool design and character of the John Lennon van, it makes up for in comfort. It is much newer and much easier to drive. And what a drive. New Zealand is most definately the best place I have ever been to. I loved every where else, particularly Thailand, but I just feel so natural and happy here. Driving along winding roads, each new turn presents a ...
wellington, New Zealand andyandkirstineApr 5 - Apr 7 (Evy day... mmm coffee) Fidel's is at the far end of Cuba St (infamous cafe district), down where the shops are smaller and every surface is covered in pulpy fraying flyers. Dirty, graffitied, vacant, seedy, but all with a sly wink of trendiness. (can't help it, I love it.) A spraypainted stencil of Fidel Castro smoking a cigar marks the place (why the theme? prolly cuz its just so controversial and ironic). It's split ...
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand leevilporkchop... road. That would qualify for a rave run in Runner's World, I'm quite sure. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me. We went into Eastborough village for dinner at an Indian restaurant. We managed to spill Devon's mango lassie on the floor, so one cleanup effort required. And that was it - a relaxing day in NZ!!!
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand rebshark... and, needless, to say, it involved considerable amounts of alcohol.) We drove to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. (Apparently Auckland used to be the capital, but during the "Land Wars" between the native, Maori, and non-native occupants of NZ, is was moved). Today would be our last day on the North Island. One of the highlights of Wellington is the Te Papa Museum. All of the guide books rate is as a "must see", and several of our bus mates were staying an ...
Wellington, North Island, New Zealand mshulist... only young & it was better than a lot of present day music, he told me they were kiwi's & those people could not sing, we sat outside our candles smoldering in the dark until they stopped singing, then clapped & cheered with the other few people who had enjoyed it, but this couple had been to reception to make sure it stopped at 10:pm. i nearly told him he should have been on the noisy bus with us the night before but stuart held me back ...
