... We got to try two drinks... my first was a draught rum and coke which was nice and the second was a liquere made with rum, coffee and chocolate... it was lovely (mum, Amand and Claire would like it, it's much better than Baileys!). Jon tried a red and coke, then a Dry and lime (which I had to drink as he was drinking!).

We arrived in Hervey Bay and tried to book a whale watching trip... unfortunately the last one had gone that morning and the Fraser Island trip we ...
Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia yelleandjon... cards too).

Last stop of the day was Indian Head where we took photos of the gorgeous beaches from the cliffs above and managed to see a sea turtle, a ray and some dolphins swimming below in the clear waters- (it was great! Only two days in Australia and I had already managed to see a bucketload of wildlife!) before heading back to the Eurong resort. Here we relaxed in the pool, grabbed dinner and enjoyed a few beers in the nearby beach bar ...
Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia ditzyali...
Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia nico.schultz...

Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia nico.schultz... they'd scrimp on a $1 but they have a point. Every time you save a $1 it adds up. I've been very lax, only $4 extra for en suite, $8 extra to eat out instead of cooking, $5 extra for a drink which I like instead of goon etc...it soon all adds up especially when you do it all day every day. Trying to cut back now but I find it hard to not have an ice cold cider in the evening because I'm so used to doing it back home and I ...
Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia stevewade... able to see them up really close; they were bigger than the boat (12m long and 40 tonnes). We also saw dolphins swimming with the boat and jumping and a scary looking sea snake. We’ve put a selection of photos on and Rachel will try and upload her videos too.

In the evening, we met with Rachel’s mum’s friend Ros and her husband Jon who drove us to the Boat Club for dinner and drinks which was nice but we couldn’t stay long as we had to get the overnight bus to Airlie Beach.
Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia rachandstu... back from Fraser, we decided against it, it worked out well, as in the day time we walked along the main bay road, and there were many places, to eat sit and relax, which worked out very well after our remarkable, but equally tiring Safari on Fraser. I also had time for a haircut from a wisdomous gentleman who actually listened to what I wanted, opposed to a young ruffian who could merely say “Medium Short??”, and took it upon to make a personalised ...
Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia kwagjiani... shaded Milly from the sun and only was only a few short steps to the seashore.

We wandered back along the main street in search of some traditional local cuisine - fish and chips. There we were; sand in our shoes, tartare sauce on our hands and grins on our faces.

A mottly flock of squawking, one-legged seagulls stalked our plates and we laughed as they snatched the bait from unsuspecting fisherman's hooks.

We could see ...
Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia ferres... lodge where we contined to drink and play games. The bar had pitchers of cocktails for only 15 bucks. lets say that was taken advantage of.

Our theme was Promisicous in Pink. Mostly we all went for the pink, not so much the promisicuous but either way it was hilarious! Colin the TM was absolutely wasted, good thing we all have of tomorrow on the island so he pretty much as the day free to be hungover.
Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia allyworldtravel... we still managed to stroll around the sub-tropical rainforest at Wangoolloa (sp) - trying desperately to avoid the very bitey and generally pretty evil giant horse-flies. It was a really beautiful setting though and reminded me of jurassic park (minus the dinos). We then headed out along the beach - no swimming likely due to the deadly rips and bull shark spawning areas aurrounding the island!! We headed to Eli creek - swelled somewhat by the rain. The ...
