The hotel staff did their best to accommodate us on short notice. They got our rooms ready sooner than anticipated, offered us laudromat service and went out of their way to make our short stay with them a memorable one.

I arrived Saturday in the afternoon and as much as I promised myself to go to bed on time, I ended up exploring the ...

We weren't supposed to get to this part until Friday, but knowing that things were starting to fill up in advance of the 4th of July Holiday, and wanting to be sure we would get a full hookup site (which we did!) with 50 amps (yes!), we ...

... did have the Space Needle in the background so we took a picture. Down by the water we passed a large ampersand sign that is part of the installation titled 'Love & Loss' (Roy McMakin, 2005-2006).

Down the shore path toward the pier was an interesting fountain sculpture of a naked man and his son. In 'Father and Son' (Louis Bourgeois, 2004-2006) the two men a partially hidden from each other by the two fountains that surround them. I ...

... some basic drum beats and an electric guitar, while the kids and Lavinia have a go at various instruments as well. They even go into a sound booth to try jamming together! George is thankfully asleep – the booths where you get to try the instruments are very cleverly designed so that the sound hardly escapes them, even though they are open air. Before we go, we also try out a “performance stage” ...
