The hotel staff did their best to accommodate us on short notice. They got our rooms ready sooner than anticipated, offered us laudromat service and went out of their way to make our short stay with them a memorable one.

We got back on the ship around 10am and so I took our washing down to the laundry and got that done, I shouldn't have to do anymore before we get home. Down the shore path toward the pier was an interesting fountain sculpture of a naked man and his son. In 'Father and Son' (Louis Bourgeois, 2004-2006) the two men a partially hidden from each other by the two fountains that surround them. I ...

... while watching the sun slowly dip towards the horizon. I grab some great photos –though the bloke next to me with his 3 professional camera setup looks disappointed that there is a lot of cloud cover today. We watch the night lights of Seattle slowly turn on, before eventually heading down. The glass garden is spectacularly lit up, but we sigh as we pass it – Lavinia and I will have to arrange to visit another ...
