The hotel staff did their best to accommodate us on short notice. They got our rooms ready sooner than anticipated, offered us laudromat service and went out of their way to make our short stay with them a memorable one.

... we drove down to last night. A tour of the Ballard Park neighborhood and a wonderful gelato at Ambrosia's, not on the Paleo diet. Fabulous restaurants and great people watching spot.
A sweet potato hash and turkey chorizo with eggs for a wonderful, healthy breakfast, poolside and a little chillin by the pool today.
Of course I will go to Pike's Market.. and tonight karaokee at the Rickshaw! I will let Syl do the singing.
Have a colorful day, Love, Kari

-Amazed at how many people spoke at least some English. Communicating was never a problem, unlike some other countries.
-The country is very clean, hardly any trash seen.
-Their seafood and pork is excellent; beef not so much.
-Surprised that we seemed to be in the "younger" segment of our travel group of 118. Also, the entire group was highly educated. We met at least 5 former professors, ...

... to get in and besides nowadays they sell there exactly the same coffee as in every other Starbuck's.

      Things to do
We decided against visiting the Space Needle as it's overpriced and the views are better from the Kerry Park. What we wanted to do was a tour in a chocolate factory as well as a winery. By recommendation we chose the "Theo Chocolate Factory" where for 7 USD you can visit the factory and you learn a lot about the history of cacao ...

Hello family and friends! I have no idea where to begin, but it is time to begin... Some of you have been in on every iteration of our plan for this year, some of you have heard only tidbits, and some of you are hearing about this for the first time. In a nutshell, Dan and I are taking a year long leave of absence to travel and explore with our boys, Sam (11) and Will (9). It has been a part of our collective dream for ...
