... and walked veeeeerrrry far behind them.<br> So after my 10 days of hell, i was rather pleased to leave. Now after all that bad luck it had to leave some sort of mark on me, to remind me of my time there... when loading my bag in to the car, i walked straight in to the tow bar. I had to do the 'pain laugh' to stop me burning the ears off of everyone. I now have a dent in the middle of my shin, along with a bruise and a red cut, which day by day seems to be getting ...
Ballarat, Victoria, Australia sk2885... about 60 little penguins emerged out of the water, evolution has taught them safety in numbers. There were lots of ooohs and aaahs and they all came plodding over the beach towards us. But when they got to us they didn't even take the slightest notice and continued along the way to their burrows. A few hundred more came in from the sea over the next hour and it was all very exciting as their weird screeches filled the air. We eventually dragged ourselves ...
Ballarat, Victoria, Australia alandrach... be able to get it in Cressy, a city on the way. Well, even though Cressy IS on the map, they DONT have a gas station... can you believe it? I couldnt, because the closest gas station was a 40 minute drive. So we kept on driving and were glad when we saw that Rockewood had a gas station sign, but the only gas station in the city was closed and we still had over 20km to go and the fuel light was on. We asked some guys in the city about where the next gas station would ...
Ballarat, Australia jarrettalane... to close at the middle of January but thankfully the owners felt they should extend the date till the middle of February: February 14.07. I was to leave on the 18th how fabulous.. everything was working out. But I still needed a big sum... so anonymously I wont give out names... I received a phone call and was given 2500 dollars a week before Febuary that will be for the trip.( an art proposition )... So I purchased my ticket with my brothers help since he has a credit ...
Melbourne, Australia carolinesheart... this lovely girl from the UK named Donna. After chatting about it the last few days, we've decided to hire a car on Monday morning (when I get back from Bendigo) and take a road trip on the Great Ocean Road!! It's a bit rushed (we will only have till Wed morn because she is flying out to New Zealand.. but if all goes well, we will be on the road Monday and Tuesday and just sleep in the car the two nights.. (Let's see how that goes!)
North Melbourne, Australia sunshinetrekker... ngnis gelaufen.
Melbourne, Australia rootaberger... famous mainly for its gold mines... Danny lost Tillys changing bag.. DUH! Had to stop in town and replace all. People are very helpful and we are able to get on to the campsite soon. Lovely campsite, we are all very hot but as its the weekend the pool is full but we were able to book the swimmer spa for an hour in the evening, mmm very very nice.
Ballarat, Australia dhgt... waddled by) they just get on with their thing as they were used to the people but there were no picture taking or videoing allowed at all! and there was only 9 people in my group, i paid $60 for it and got a free hot choc to warm up at the end, well worth the trip! got my own little mumble to remember it by, i would def go back again and again if i ever return! Anyway after our adventures of philip island we drove home in the rain! whilst driving back to ...
Melbourne, Australia heliwalker... They even had decided on a currency. We all walked in a huddle, because the Melbournites thought it was cold....I don't think they have tried going out in Auckland in the middle of winter!Okay Velour Bar, Well yea all I can compare it to is Provedor . The music , the people ...mmm interesting...I (renee) still think I ruled the dance floor. While Lilli was taking phone calls from a drunken Dave, Renee thought it was her duty to dance with the Midget Man ( Yes Astrid a real live ...
Melbourne, Australia lillirenee... I cannot imagine what it would be like to have to flee a home full of memories. As you would guess, with all of these fires, there was a complete fire ban for the entire area for the day. We're still not sure why it was only for the day, in fact they kept saying until midnight. What? Like, will it be okay to light a bonfire at 00:01? Strange. Regardless of the ban, Ballarat, our home for the night, was continuing on with its Australia Day fireworks ...
