... oh and they live in a cave and hang their washing on wooden poles. Crazy money so I suspect they may retire from the cave at some point soon. Just past the Viking cave is a beautiful lagoon with waist height water all around that we stopped off at for a short while and then rounded another small corner into a Loh Samah bay for a bit snorkeling. The waters there although shaded from the sun by the high limestone cliffs are very clear and really busy with life now. A lot of the coral ...

... than Phi phi but the bars are cool and we found one with good music, football on TV and funky curved wooden chairs overlooking the sea. After a beer we chose a restaurant with no one in. We were feeling charitable and felt sorry for the sad looking staff who had nobody to serve. The result was all good, red curry and fried rice was delicious and we even met the chef Da. She was happy that we were happy and we were happy that they were happy. It was a good end to the first day on ...

    Day 38

Me and Jay were both up at six this morning to get ready as we were both heading out on the boat. I had woken him up at 04:40 because I heard noises on the roof that freaked me out. It was probably just birds and anyway he went to sleep within 10 seconds! Unfortunately for me, no one else signed up for the wreck dive so I missed out on that one. One day I will do a wreck dive, but not in Koh Tao as apparently it's relatively new and not that much life has attached itself to it yet. I was ...
