    ... in mind that the lights at Jagger (and Volcano House) are purposely kept very dim to non-existent in order to preserve the ability to view the glow. You also get a wonderful view of the stars since there is very little light pollution. Anyway, my point in mentioning this is to walk carefully or bring a small flashlight if you need to see.

    We landed in LA just after midday (still Saturday) and were quite quickly through Customs etc., and then thankfully our cases popped out onto the conveyor - quite a worry when you check the bags in at Perth and then don't see them for 35 hours!     Some dipshit decided to play chasey with the cops on Monash freeway and then when he got caught told them he had a bomb strapped to him. So naturally, on the one morning we want to use Monash, its closed. Traffic on every other road was bumper to bumper.
