The view from our apartment is of the roof tops over the Old Town - terracotta tiles, turrets, unexpected door ways, chimneys - all add to the ambiance. See the photo attached.
tomorrow we are off to Rome airport and then its port where we will spend one night before embarking upon our 10 night cruise. so a new adventure awaits.

... drove to our last European destination - Lyon. Thankfully Lyon was warmer than Geneva, a hell of a lot less windy. On approach to our hotel, Lyon appears to be a nice city, pretty and the centre set between two large rivers that snake their way through, the Rhone, and the Saone.
