Yesterday (Thursday) was filled with driving and we are all so sick of the bus. I am not feeling well again so I pretty much slept all day and Jordan just sat and listened to his music. We did a quick lunch stop in at Avignon which translates to the 'windy city' and boy did it live up to its name today for us!! The wind was so strong that it felt like it was picking us up. ... today, he seems pretty cool and speaks clearly so I think it will be a productive semester. I got to choose to "Option" courses for my level so I chose Theater (because I'll have to speak and I like moving) and "Mode" or Fashion because I like sewing and thought it would be interesting. I also signed up for a guided 4 day trip to the South of France during our 2 week long spring break:) We also rode the ferris wheel today

It is hot! Today we spent visiting Lyon's Unesco-listed old town. We took the funicular up to the Basilique Notre Dame de Fourviere and walked down through the gardens and narrow stairways. Following lunch, we visited the Musee de la Resistance and then walked home by the river. In hindsight, we should have done the last bit on the bike. But we did not.
... for a while then later started talking to a Costa Rican and a German. It was great hearing stories about their travels and they recommened some places for me to visit. We decided to meet up the next day to explore Lyon.
After breakfast we walked down the hill to Vieux Lyon, the medieval part of the city. We wandered around a church and down narrow cobbled streets filled with little cafes. We visited ...
... for a couple of hours then walked through more of the park and discovered a (free!) zoo, so spent an hour there then chilled on the shade for a while before walking back towards the hotel. We stopped at a supermarket and picked up stuff to make cheese/chicken salad and sandwiches for tomorrow, then had tea and got ready for bed early, ready for setting off at 6 in the morning to go to ...
