... as I wandered the property. One I recalled was changing clothes as soon as I got home and then standing on the ledge of the patio to see who might be wearing a bikini In the pool below. A lot of great views, but no dates. Today I love to cook, and my first exposure to someone's passion about food was at the Jolly Tar. ... by a guy from work, so I was a little excited, but turned out they only did brewed coffee, and no espresso. :(
I'll just have to wait for the real Stumptown coffee in Seattle!
So we kept on to the trolley stop where we bought ourselves a two day transport pass, called a Compass Card here, then went back up the street to a bus stop.
Turns out we'd missed one by about 10 minutes, and the next one was about 50mins away, so we went across the road to a little sports ...

There are many lookout points overlooking San Diego, the North Bay Naval Base and Coronado. On the seaside of the park there are the trails leading to the tidal pools and cliffs. Waves roll in and crash against the rocks sending spray high into the air. We spent a couple of ...

... streets. You have to hail one from in front of a shopping mall, office building or hotel. We were completely unsuccessful in this regard and ending up walking as fast as we could back to the hotel. We made it back a little before 4 PM, whereupon we rushed upstairs, showered, packed and checked out.

Our driver arrived a little early and we headed for the airport before 5 PM. That was a good plan as traffic was terrible. What should have taken about 35 minutes, ended ...

... and a nice view despite the light rain. We then drove a bit past the office to the rainforest walk. It was neat to be in a rainforest on a nice pathway, covered by a canopy of trees. The rain started to come down in earnest, just as we finished the walk. So, we shopped a bit, then headed home. Made another soup, and Pam made a vegan pumpkin pie. Delicious! We did some packing that night in preparation for our departure Monday ...
