... the Zoo. Besides some younger child's episodes (no names please) it was a nice outing. The truth is that the zoos in Israel are great and there wasn't anything really knew for us except maybe the Panda who was fast asleep (and we had to wait in the sun almost half an hour to see her!) But our kids love animals, reptiles, insects, and they had a good time.
From the zoo we found our way to the one and only kosher restaurant in San Diego, ...
This morning we were up early at 7.00 and on the road by 8.00 arrived at Legoland by 9.00 and got early check in. We really dont know why we got on the move so early as we had 2 days at Legoland but thank goodness we did as the park is actually shut Tuesdays and Wednesdays ( I miss interpreted the info on the Website) anyway had a brilliant day. Koby was in charge for the day and the other 2 were fantastic followed him ...
... not in our case... It's been cold and rainy all the time since we arrived. Everybody is amazed by this fact and keeps assuring us that "it only rains like ten times a year around here"... Hmm, bad luck? ;)
We are staying in Pacific Beach which is supposed to be a great outdoor area (when it's not raining...). It's pretty far from here to Downtown, but there are trolleys and buses and the journey doesn't take that long. A bit nearer is the ...
... and bought a jump on, jump off day pass on the Old Town trolley that does the circuit around all the major attractions. It is the touristy thing which gives you all the information you need in a short time, plus a bit of independence to get off and stroll around on your own. It's good fun too, as the drivers were a funny bunch, telling stories about their hometown with good humour.
We found the city had a few similarities to Sydney with a natural harbour, nice beaches, ...
... a sleep this afternoon - Jackie too - we went and met the Tour Director for our Cosmos Tour which starts tomorrow about 8am. He was nice I believe we have about 41 on the tour made up of 50% Uk and Aussie travelers plus us two NZers. There are only 6 of us from this group continuing onto the the Alaskan Passage.
Then we went next door to Du-pars Restaurant and Pastry for tea. We weren't hungry so we just had Peach Pie ...
