    Highlight of the day for me was at the Hungary/Romania border, got asked for the bike docs by a Romanian border guard, I gave him an A4 receipt from the hotel in Brno (Written in English) he had a good look and than passed it back with a cheery "Thanks"

    ... am supposed to be. I go into the lot where the bus is parked and it says Bucharest – opposite direction from where I am going. That’s a little disappointing, but it’s ok. But the area doesn’t have any other buses and just sort of looks like a little dirt lot. The bus is about to leave so I ask one of the people hanging around the driver “is there a bus to Budapest?” And they say, no, no bus to Budapest. I’m pretty frustrated ...

    ... the car twice, checking all of us as they handed back our passports, and looking for evidence of smuggling locations on the floor I think. It sort of makes sense, because Romania is an EU country and Serbia is not, so they might want to be very careful about the border crossings. It rained a bit during the second portion of the drive, so I ended up falling asleep.

    Romania is also one hour ahead of Belgrade - I'm now at GMT + 2 - ten hours ahead ...

    ... oh we've got this really cool technology called credit cards but lets not let anyone use them expect at bankomats where they can get cash out to go back to the original way of paying anyway" it's like, why bother in the 1st place? the hostel owner took great pleasure in telling me Timisoara is the city with the most parks in Romania. he clearly decided to leave out the bit that it's the city with the least cashpoints. anyway, rant over. my next attempt ...

    Day 7: Today we continued on our travels and today we are going to Timisoara. When we got there we went to Gradina Zoologica Timisoara. It was a nice zoo and we learnt lots about Romanian wildlife. We saw bears, deer and many other animals. We really enjoyed ourselves. After lunch we went on a boat tour of the Bega River. The scenery was really nice and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had a great day today and we are really looking forward to ...
