... t know if it might be a coyote or wolf. Later in the day, Nick sent me a message . . . that his neighbors confirmed that it was a grey wolf!!

We did see lots of chipmunks, squirrels . . . and a deer that makes regular visits (they call her Alice!).

As we approached The Mighty Mac, we couldn't get a pictured at some of the pullouts because of the fog. It didn't clear to get a good view until just we entered the approach!

... spoon...popular with the boys. Afterward, we played tennis and swam indoors as it was a little chilly out. Dinner out at the Polish Kitchen. We had the place to ourselves and ate pierogies, dumplings, schnitzel and goulash. Because we have been interested in Boyne Highlands, a nearby resort, we stopped by to check it out. ... tonight is that we are tired as there really is nothing that sets it apart from the many other small towns in northern Michigan. Tomorrow we continue heading north until we can cut around the top of Lake Michigan. Today has been very boring, but things should pick up soon as we leave the interstates behind and get up close and personal with Michigan.

... warm. As far as snow goes, other than on Christmas, you can have it! I hate shoveling off my car for an hour after work everyday, driving 25 mph EVERYWHERE, slippery/snotty roads, whiteouts, salt on my Jeep, all of it I hate it. I would love Michigan IF I could spend the winters somewhere else-somewhere warm. So....I just have to figure out HOW to go about doing ...

Almost Back In Milford

... campground we were treated to a visit by a Chocolate Lab who was taking a bath in the lake. The water was chilly but he didn't mind. We wish that Riley could have come on the road with us, and we talk about getting another dog. But we want to get a little more comfortable with traveling before we introduce another family member. And we need to make sure there is enough room in the camper for three of us!
