Best Western Alba Nice

ok, it was more "collecting a new country" than being really interested in Monaco. Strange, when you go there from Nice airport by bus it costs you 18 € one way, when you go from Nice bus terminal it costs 1 € one way. Monaco is a very clean city. I have never seen so many big and expensive cars. I saw the casino and the castle. Nice, but not spectacular.

I know I always write the same...great weather, such a nice city, good food....but I have to say that Nice was a (very) big surprise for me, I can say that it is my favourite city in Europe (ok, number 2 after Lisbon). You have the mountains, the Cote dŽAzur (when you see the water you know why the name is Cote dŽAzur), the market with fresh vegetables, fruits, honey, oil, soap, you have great restaurants ...

It is Sunday and very wet and miserable here in Antibes. Quite a change from the glorious day we had yesterday. Ideal for computer work in fact... (Except that then things didn't pan out as planned and it is now Monday)

Keeping Clean... the shower offensive Scooby is only the size of a delivery van... 4.8m Long and 2.3m Wide... fits snuggly into a shopping car park space. Height is not an issue as he is 2.6m tall so plenty of room for us shorties! The point is that space on the inside is at a premium, so the shower is "cosy"... but it does the job. Best of all we have a gas water boiler so the water is HOT HOT HOT!! We need to fill up our water tank every few days as there is only enough ...

... at least 20) everything from lemon to vanilla, creme caramel, raspberry, nougat and fig! We munched on our teeny treats and decided we'd had enough sightseeing for the day and it was time to head home.

Although we would have liked to do a similar day trip to Monaco and Cap d'ail, the weather was a bit ****** the next few days and the majority of the sights at these spots were the awesome beaches, plus we needed some chill time too. Gotta save something for next time right? And of ...

... very confused. He spoke English and Witek went and showed him what to do, he even zoomed the camera to the right distance but this guy still had trouble! He pressed the button but not the whole way and all that happened was the flash popped up, but he claimed triumphantly ‘I did it!’. Um, no, no he didn’t! He did eventually work it out though but it took a good 3-4 minutes!

Nice is a small town in Southern France on the coast of the Mediterranean. It is just a couple of miles up the coast from Cannes, where the big film festival is held. We spent the first full day here hanging out on the beach called Lido Plage. The water was very nice and warm, but the beaches were full of big rocks and no sand. So it wasn't as nice laying on the beach as say in California, where there are nice sandy beaches. We ended up spending about $50 ...

The first night we were a little too sober and talked to a lot of hot girls who seemed to be digging it but none of us ever were able to capitalize. ... into 2 days... so we got back on the bus and headed to Nice, France about 40 min away.  Nice was also very beautiful and luxurious... I felt a little out of place the entire weekend, lol. We were given a few hours free time, so a group of us headed down to the beach and soaked up some sun.
