For the last week I've been perusing websites and travel industry sites and even expedia etc. Finding a low fare can be a lot of work! But hopefully I can make that process easier and less time consuming for the traveler. That's what I would want in an agent. It ...
Kelso, Washington, United States lovestravelsI've never had a career before. I've spent the last nineteen years raising my kids. I never went to college and right after high school I got married and started a family. Don't get me wrong, I loved it (most days) and wouldn't go back and do anything different. But now that they are all in school and the last one will be out of the house in eight or nine years, it's time for me to have a life outside my family.
I got some ...
I am going to document my journey of becoming a travel agent and eventually I will be able to travel for real. I began my journey by researching online schools that had travel agent training. But soon discovered that route is very expensive. So then I found that there are agencies called 'hosts' that train agents, not to work for them but to work as Independant ...
Kelso, Washington, United States lovestravels... from the ice age 10000 years ago and was only found in 1952. I tried to scare daddy by turning off my torch. I made a new friend called Sean and he was a very nice boy as well. We both got a piece of lava to remember each other from the time we met.
Cougar, Washington, United States domandanna... in 55 and i aint leaving now etc etc) despite many attempts to evacuate him. Sadly for Henry Spirit Lake turned out to be ground zero, the lake actually got pushed 200 feet up a hill and several hundred thousand trees and several million tons of rock landed on it. I remember the last interview with Henry just about......he must have had an interetsing last few minutes because the devastation is biblical even 30 years on.
Angela, poor Angela. She came to visit me in Portland, and she learned a valuable lesson: don't listen to me. I assured her that our climb up Mt. St. Helens would be no problem at all. Her first indication of a problem might have been two days before when I told her that the summer route up to the crater was closed and that we would have to take the winter route. And by the winter route, I mean no route. I woke her up around 4:00 a.m. to ...
Cougar, Washington, United States jwmoles... Francisco, I moved to Hawaii for 6 weeks. I watched people I love accomplish incredible goals and then surpass those goals to reach further. I became inspired. I learned how to surf (well that is still in progress), I hiked a few mountains. I lost a few loved ones in 2007 to the cycle of life, childish drama, and just growing apart...but gained a few more...I discovered that there are some people who just don't like hearing the truth right out ...
La Center, Washington, United States jmojica... with warmth by one of the owners, Jane, who after seeing what a difficult time we were going to have setting up camp in the rain, graciously gave us use of the park's heated rec room for the tenting fee. This space, which is usually rented by groups, included a half bath, kitchenette, and a carpeted floor to sleep on. Thus we were able to dry out, warm up, and cook dinner and breakfast in comfort. Jane's husband, Will, anticipating our arrival had set aside some firewood and ...
Battle Ground, Washington, United States peaceforearth... have another strawberry lemonade and extra ranch. exchanging stories, as we caught quickly up today made me at peace with my worries as he travels thousands of miles away and i start to contemplate in my head when my next step onto a plane will be....along with all the other contemplations that only one person knows all about...no need to blab until it is happening. until the decisions are ...
La Center, Washington, United States jmojica... removal to the mill. After a very short visit we were on the road again. The kids had to fly back to DeKalb for work. It was really sad to see them go. I watched them go through the line at the airport until Sarah scowled at me and waved me away. I guess she didn't want a scene. Since then Ray and I have been winding our way down to San Diego visiting friends and relatives. It has been a very pleasant trip and has kept our minds off the wait.
