    Eastern WA west of Spokane is much like western MT in that there is a lot of flat to rolling open range with lots of cattle. But as you drive west the land becomes flatter with big irrigated fields of crops. There was a stretch of road where they posted signs telling you what the crops are. We saw mostly hay, peas, alfalfa, and potatoes.
