Leaving our hotel on Saturday morning, our original plan was to head to the Puyallup State Fair for the day until we learned that it was Kids Get in Free Day - which quickly changed to the Snoqualmie Casino in Snoqualmie, Washington. After all, I've never met a casino I didn't like.

WE WERE PICKED UP BY ONE OF THE BILLETS (BRIANNA) WHO KINDLY TOOK US TO OLYMPIA - THE CAPITAL OF WASHINGTON STATE. IT WAS ABOUT A TWENTY MILE (ONE WAY) TRIP BUT WELL WORTH THE TIME TAKEN.

6. People in public places usually know enough English to be helpful and don't seem to mind our need for English translations, especially if we were polite and tried. But, a lot of the museums offer little except an audioguide in English, so it was hard to decipher words that accompanied art works if there was no English translation. ...
