Reno is very strange. The only airport I know where you have to walk through a casino to get your bagage!

Dad invited me out to the races this year and so he, Uncle Mike, and I went on the last day. Roamed all over the air field and saw some pretty sweet rides (check out the pics). They had the Blue Angels do a show and I was surprised to see the flag from the old homestead coming down with one of the parachutists (it was the AK Air Guard). All in all a good, if short, trip.
Reno, Nevada, United States richard.reimers You might think I'd choose a more poetic title for Day 10, our last day on the road, but when I remember the suffering I endured from the middle-of-nowhere Mickey D's in NV its hard to think of anything else worthy of mentioning.
Our breakfast quest apparently set the tone for the day:
Around day 6-7 we became overwhelmed with constantly eating in restaurants, since most of the food was much richer than normal-home cooked fare. So, in the mornings we ...
... the RV with enough food and supplies to last at least a week. Thank goodness, the thought of shopping after flying across country with two kids under 3 would have sent me over the edge of sanity. Our flight was long and exhausting, the kids slept for the last 10 minutes of the five hours of traveling. Brett caught his second wind but Grandma and I just wanted to go ...
Reno, Nevada, United States cochranfamily That got your attention, didn't it?
Tits, knockers, bazoombas, gazongas, funbags... breastseses.
I don't know about the rest of the year, but during Street Vibrations, in the evening, the only reason for Virginia City's main street to exist is boobs.
Specifically, for women passengers to flash theirs in exchange for shouting. Excuse me, in ...
The party had started before we even got there. I contacted a Couch Surfer in Reno, Nathan, who was just awesome, and put Z, Jenn and I up in his place the few days before burn time. We all met in Reno, Z driving the crazy awesome van across the country in 4 days, Jenn flying into the airport, and of course, me meeting up with all of them. Once again, I was blown away by the openness and giving of Nathan, and in turn all the CS I've met along the way.
Reno, Nevada, United States brandonibolognaToday was pretty similar to yesterday with most of it being spent on the road. Instead of going all the way along Interstate 80 to Reno, I took the longer route down Highway 93 and then across to Reno on Highway 50. My map book indicated that Highway 50 was a scenic road. Not sure what they define as scenic, because there wasnt a huge amount to see other than empty roads and desert!
Before arriving in Reno, I went for a ...
... of a headache. Was up there and saw I nice church at another hill, so I had to walk there to. Took some pictures but maybe not enough. Started to be very tired and was walking back, suddenly I needed something to drink. Went in to a store to buy an orange juice. The girl that was working there didn't have much to do so we sat down for a talk. After a quarter I left to my hotel that was close by to get some rest, did have a bad headache. Next day ...
Reno, Nevada, United States nathanaelI shouldn't have had to do any work this morning, but due to the fact that I didn't have all of the hardware and the client didn't get their network squared away until Thursday, I finished training this morning. I got away from the jobsite just in time to visit Sushi Club for a small feast prior to dropping off the rental car at the chronically inefficient Reno Thrifty and arriving at the airport. I enjoyed the shortest trip home in recent memory.
Reno, Nevada, United States teducker... showed us through some casinos downtown where Pete and I found another game of Rapid Roullette, a setup we haven't seen since Harrahs in Vegas. Pete and I were both down about $20, so Pete took out some more money to make it back...famous last words, I know. He loaned me 20, which I stuck on red and doubled, giving him the original 20 back. Pete was up to 70 and, after seeing my win on red, he put all 70 down on red. That was over in a hurry ...
Reno, Nevada, United States brettski... advised that he was unaware of innovations in grocery store technology, i.e. price scanners. Post debate, the V Man dined at Denny's and then hit the hay. Morning next the V Man strolled past Circus Circus and Harrahs on his way to Kerry/Edwards campaign headquarters. The V Man's spent his first full day door-knocking on the streets of Reno. The remainder of the week was split between knocking doors and phone calling ...
