This morning we departed Medford for a 3 hour drive to Newport. Newport is a small town located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Louise drove the first leg of the trip, her first time driving in the US on the other side of the road. The roads were rather up and down and curvy through the valleys. After a couple of hiccoughs with the washing machine I finally managed to get 2 loads washed and dried. Didn't think I would ever look forward so much to doing washing! A drive down to the old wharf area this morning, quite quaint, lots of galleries selling local wok - nice but expensive. More seal!!! Lunch back at Schooners Landing, a plain old toasted cheese sandwich - nice. Downtown again to check out the wifi facilities at the library- good. Then off to Nye Beach. This ...
