Getting back into the road trip mindset was easy, but leaving Austin was incredibly difficult. Again, thank you so much to the Hootkins, the Chans, the Wongs (and Allan!) and my friends!! I will miss you all a lot :( Before we left for Whole Foods, Mrs. Hootkins baked us a whole pan of brownies, from scratch. She even gave us the glass pan and towel! Hahaha The Whole Foods ...
... way we saw an old town that fronts I-20.(Putnum, TX) It looked like a movie set. Plus a steak restaurant with a cattle auction building attached to it. Talk about 'Farm to Table'!
Tomorrow is an early day. Hope to leave by 645-7am to drive 5 hrs. to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Since going there 2 years ago, I can hardly believe we get to go back again. The kids and I are so happy we get to take Tom!
