First, I should say that I never use the term "Xmas," which I think is an ugly word, but I couldn't resist the ridiculous rhyme.

We are now in Lexington, KY, having finished the first leg of the nearly 1200 mile driving tour. We ran around like crazy this morning doing chores--most of which would have been done yesterday if the power hadn't gone ...

We spent the day driving through the winding roads of the Appalachian Mountains. When we entered Kentucky I was surprised at how foresty it was. The roads were incredibly windy and Chris had to be careful for the sharp turns. There are a lot of Pick-up trucks in this part ...

Gary and Dalene finished working on the winter chicken coop. Its not completed but just needs insulation and some hinges installed for the doors. The weather here in KY is expected to be extra cold this winter and this new coop in near a power source so a light can be put in to help them stay warmer. The chickens are molting now and now doing much egg production and with winter coming they won't be ...
