... 4) Due to the active days and evening campfires, I shower in the evenings now instead of the mornings, 5) RVing is not for anyone with a weak stomach, I have a pretty strong stomach and still get queasy with all the bouncing...then again maybe it's just the driving of my chaueffer ;-) either way, it makes for a great core workout! Back to our travels.... Once we left St. Louis, instead of following the GPS which ...
Today we spent looking at the "Mark Twain" stuff in Hannibal. It has been about 50 years since I was in Hannibal and I'm sure it has changed a lot. Like most other smallish sleepy towns of that era it has spread out from the center of town. If it wasn’t for “Mark Twain” and being a river town, Hannibal would probably have gone the way of Monroe City, Paris, Perry and Florida, MO. But due to his ...
Kettie and I stopped at first SAG stop and went to a cafe where the mug I received wished me a happy birthday. How very kind. We appeared to loiter there for sometime and suffered the abuse deserved for this. Barry then joined us for the second section...and third.

The road has gotten better since we got off 75 and onto I 24. We traveled through some lovely country bedecked with green fields of corn, acres of lush grass, blue roadside flowers, undulating roadways and lots of John Deere tractors. We are now just off Rt 157 heading north. I suddenly realized that I have ancestors hereabouts. My Grandma, Grandpa, Mom (not buried here) and 5 of her brothers and sisters (10 in all) were from, and are buried in, Carterville, IL. ...
... and wanted to get to campground.. $19night with electric. No cell service, will leave early in the morning. Jim is working and needs the service plus, not a nice place to hang out. Buggy and the trees/woods look rather sickly and uninviting. We took off around 8:30 am. Landed in a town off the interstate and did laundry at laundromat -nicer one than last time. Jim conference call.
