... tracks run parallel between the highway and the river. It made for a very Huck Finn feel. The town is obsessed with Mark Twain, because it was his boyhood town. Buggy and the trees/woods look rather sickly and uninviting. We took off around 8:30 am. Landed in a town off the interstate and did laundry at laundromat -nicer one than last time. Jim conference call.
Spent the morning at the BMW shop. My appointment was for 1 0am, I arrived on time and my bike went into the shop at 10:10am. The bike came out road tested at 11:00am. In the mean time I had wonderful conversations with their friendly staff and time passed so quickly it was a shame to go.
