... California is beautiful and full of pretty awful drivers. We should be used to this coming from Tampa and southern Florida, but it was a bit of a shock after the long, empty drives of West Texas, New Mexico, and most of Arizona. As we write this, we are mentally preparing ourselves to bypass Los Angeles (as much as possible) and take the 101 up to the Bay Area. We'll see how we fare later in the afternoon.
