I must say, it was a welcome injection of "new human" into our small traveling coterie when we saw our Aunt Dena on Tuesday in Sacramento. Additionally, on Wednesday night, Nate Bruttell and Hannah Clark drove up from Corvallis (the former Oregon state capitol city) to eat, drink, and be merry with us! ... Anita decided to open it as her opener in the car did not work either and she was expecting me—but not expecting to see my car parked there and me not in sight! So we are both in but neither have garage door openers-she got into front door with key. II guess we can only leave one at a time! Lol

... Even with fog lights and hazard blinkers on it was almost impossible to see the car just in front of me. This continued for about 8 miles and we all drove around 20 miles an hour! ... I just had to stop there to eat…I’ve never seen a place with my initials as its name.

Tomorrow is our second longest drive of the trip…around 10 hours to the San Francisco area. We’re beginning to move into much hotter weather, so hopefully the car and our sanity hold up.
