We spent the night in the RV at Cheaha State Park in Talladega Alabama.
We arrived early enough to take some pics as we headed up the mountain.
Poor RV had a tough time getting up some of the hills. I think we were down to about 15 MPH on a few of the steeper ones. What happens when we get out west :(

... 1938. The Parkway is also designated a National Scenic Byway and All-American Road -- a two lane road that winds among trees on either side. I stayed in an RV park just around the corner from the Visitor Center.

The roads in MS are fairly flat and straight (good for cruise control) with a mixture of pine and deciduous trees lining the roadway. Leaves were giving a last gasp of color (mostly brown).

... watched the race from the top of their RVs and its all about having the biggest and best set ups. We had a lot of lovely neighbours camped beside us who looked after us throughout the weekend. The races were loud and particularly in the truck race there was some spectacular crashes.
