After New Orleans, we decide to cut our drive to Austin short and stop in Beaumont, Texas. Yep…Beaumont, Texas. ... in Texas and they are not kidding! That include the state! Oh my! Would you believe the today we encountered wide loads on the road. Reminded me of the hwy 63 days except the interstate highways in the states are all double lanes. Some observations: lots of corn fields and refineries. A "Hurricane Evacuation" road sign is something that we do not see at home but they are everywhere in Corpus Christi! ...

... hike on Valentine's Day (also our anniversary 8 yrs!), we had an absolutely scrumptious meal there. Such a treat!
