          We have a cold day today but a short one. We need to make Portland Maine so Carolyn can fly home. We stop at a state park called Battle Mountain and pay $9 entrance fee to take a 2 mile road up to the top. The view is of Penobscot Bay. It is colder on top with the wind than when we are on the bike. We are using our electric jackets to keep warm. We make a stop at the LL Bean super store for a few small purchases.           ... smells of fried food and kettle corn. The midway has just about every fair ride you can think of. On the left is the harness racing track and grandstand bathrooms, and an ATM. During the day, the ATM line is almost always long, so if you plan on traveling to the fair, make sure you bring enough cash beforehand.

          ... colour was a flower pot on the windowsill. I knew I wasn't leaving his little cabin without buying at least one painting and what do you know I left with two!
