"That man looks like he has a combine harvester for legs." "Would that make him a trac-taur?" So peter had a bad night's sleep last night and took him a while to wake up today. We made up for it with a 'Vermont-style' breakfast, which was so tasty! Even the toast was twice as thick as normal bread! We called Aarn (her pack company), and they will send out a new/lighter/better pack free ...

Dan and his new (as in yesterday!!) wife, Mary were our gracious hosts last year…they put us up in their driveway, grilled out for us several times, and invited us to relax in their screened-in porch both evenings we were there. Their ...

... on towards the end of the Catskills loop. I'm thinking it's some kind of ABS sensor issue. Brakes still work (and quite well). Also, the speedometer doesn't register for the first couple miles after restarting the bike.

  • seem to be getting the better part of 40 mpgs (according to the computer). I think it might be closer to 50 (went 292 miles on 5.7 gallons between refueling).
  • curious to see the wear rate on the tires with the ...
