      Welcome to Kansas! I think this is my 16th stop so far, and will be brief one on the way to Denver tomorrow!       ... to be in good repair. The park we stayed in last night was excellent. There are "rails to trails" walking areas, a very nice municipal swimming pool, several historic exhibits and very nice green lawns. Last night was a good stay. Carol O., we really enjoyed visiting the town that you spent a lot of time in while growing up in this area.

      ... says it got its name from Wichita being the Air Capital of the World. Really??

      We spent some "quality time" this evening at a Dillon food store - a chain which is owned by Kroger. Other than that, we didn't do a whole lot, as it was late afternoon before we arrived and got set up. All in all, not much to report!

      ... on our whole trip...not likely to happen, but it would be very nice. The first part of our drive we passed many, many trucks hauling lumber, logs, and sawn slats. Considering the number of trucks and lumber yards that we saw, we are amazed that there are any trees left in Missouri.
