... there was a fresh water stream coming to the ocean. It was beautiful and wild. Haystacks are not found at all on the east coast and reminded me of the desert rock formations that jut randomly from the earth. The coast line was frequently muted by mist and made me wonder how many days the sun actually shines there, since we didn't really see much of it. But it created a wonderful moodiness to the landscape.

... we saw the Pacific Ocean!! We walked the historic downtown area and had lunch in a historic cafe. We had heard that they had a unique beach that had a large amount of Sea Glass { small pieces of glass bottles that have been polished by the sand and washed ashore} We collected a handful and watched the waves break on the rocks. What a great day!

We are staying next to the home of Seabiscuit!!

He may have permanent "white knuckles" from some of the drives he has done along the way. The drive was 30 miles but took about an hour to drive it.

Tomorrow we are off to Novato just North of San Rafael where I will visit with my cousin Betsy and her family.

... to decide what to do.  It didn't take long to confirm our original decision as an argument broke out between two women further down the park.  Apparently the woman who was a drunk had done something to the woman who was always high the Saturday night just gone and one of them had just got out of jail.  A punch up followed and we decided we had unintentionally stopped at a junkie park and witnessed a junkie scrap, so we high-tailed it out of there as ...
