    ... s Big Band show was lead by an 80 year old singer Lynn Roberts who could belt out a tune - she was amazing - in voice and looks. After the show I had to have a close inspection and tried to find some needle or stretch marks behind the ears. I think the band and Lynn were singing for the deaf, but overall I think it was one of the better shows - only I still can't get over Lynn's age.     ... UIC Hospital (Iowa City) recovering from a major surgery to remove a cancerous tumor growing out of his humerus (not funny). After the removal, they replaced the now-hollow, swiss-cheesed bone with a stainless steel rod core and joint inside a cadaver bone, and pieced the nerves back together. Science.
