Up at 4.30am to go to the balloon ride. Small bus to our venue at hotel, where we had a briefing for the safety rules etc. Then by bus to the launching area. A whole group of balloons getting ready to take off. A big climb into the basket, 16 of us standing in 4 compartments. Take off was gentle just gliding up. It was fantastic!! So worth it. Anxiously getting prepped this week for next Sunday-----for the PDX Half Marathon on 10-10-10!

This is most likely one of my last Half Marathon Runs. for a while. It is also fitting and appropriate that the Portand Half Marathon 2010 (Inaugural Run) be the one where I put the Half Marathon runs on "pause". It was the Portalnd Marathon 2004 that launched ...

A travel blog entry by olivia-n-daddy on Apr 23, 2010

O, Dear, Hope you are doing well. I/we are doing well. Lucy is doing
well. Well, well that takes care of that. Off to better things. Robbie
got his job in Monte Carlo and has now moved to his new digs. He has now
made it to head chef for Ducasse and has probably just made his career.
Ira and Andy were to arrive today but because Mother Nature is a bit
****** off and has caused Iceland to repay it's massive debt to Europe
with tons of volcanic ash, their ...
