I asked an attendant at the airport in Amsterdam to be placed on an isle seat with my left arm on the outside. The lady ask if I would care to sit in First Class. This is the train station, Grunewald, where the Jews were brought for deportation. The Jews were herded as cattle up the cobblestone road to Platform 17. They were crammed into train cars and transported to Auschwitz to be exterminated. This platform would be a bad place to find yourself lost at the train station.
