We stayed in Virginia which isn't real far from D.C, but you take a subway to get to different places and walk the rest of the way. We went to museums, the grave sites also known as the veterans burial ground, the monuments, and we even got to see the white house!!

... up and out the plughole in the bath. We called housekeeping, who didn’t understand a word we were saying, they turned up and stood in the bathroom amazed. More people turned up, they too were amazed. Eventually we were given another room – which we slowly moved into. Ed went first and was slowly joined by each bag as it is packed, and eventually his parents.

What an amazing day. I drove south from DC to visit the Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle Virginia today.
