... a great time. We had a few beers and food at the Venice Beach Ale House, then took a long walk up and down the boardwalk. We talked about old times, our families, etc. It was interesting to catch up with a friend from the old neighborhood just as I'm about to embark on a return trip there after 20 something years here in California. It reminded me why I was going home. There are some things that just last. No matter how many years go by, some things don't fade away.
... Mac and Josie created a raft. We played a few rounds of pool baseball. We had the pool all to ourselves and had a great time.
By 2:00 or so, we decided to get cleaned up and head out for lunch. Mac really wanted to hit In-N-Out Burger again, and with no great protest from any of us, we complied. The corner of Hollywood and Highland is constantly jammed, so we tried to avoid it by just walking down Orange Street ...
