... a nice blue sky. As we traveled we saw many very content looking cattle, wide open plains, and a distant ridge of hills.  Our first stop was one John particularly wanted to see: the Museum of the Fur Trade in Chandron, NE. ... was working on the car - not sure how much help they were to him, however. The kids found the swing in the tree and had a ball twisting and swinging on that. JP got to keep a set of deer horns that were in the yard and Aunt S sent us home with some lavender and baby's breath from her garden. We headed home and took a different route around by Madison Square and hearly got stuck where road crews had been fixing the road from the flooding. Eventually, we found our way back to ...

... to mow the lawn with the riding mower today. Grandpa moved out a boundary for him and JJ cut it. He was happy as a clam out there and Grandpa was glad for the help. Seeing JJ mowing the lawn brought back memories of my childhood as I used the same mower when I was about his age. It is amazing that it is still running!

Grandpa gave all the kids 4-wheeler ...
