      Days in Detroit

... heart of Detroit. I was warned of where to and where not to go. First stop: Renaissance Center. I wanted to dine at the Coach Insigna, but I had to catch my flight by the time they opened. Instead, I took the what-I-call metro [but what locals call "people mover"] around the highlighted areas of Detroit. It had several stops - Broadway Station and Cadillac Center Station just to name two. I hopped off ...

Tami and I landed in Detroit and had some time to burn. We decided to do a Tabata training to earn our beers that we would have. Tami did her sets and I did mine. Once we were done we realized we had an audience. Apparently, working out in the middle of an airport is not a common occurrence. ...

I am a bit pudgier and wrinklier than 2007 but the benefit of age is not ...

... I couldn't resist taking time to drive through my old neighborhood in Ann Arbor Hills, past my schools and around the campus. There's no where else in the world for me to be as nostalgic as I am when I return to Ann Arbor. That evening as we sat down at our window table in the restaurant with Tom and Natalia, we applauded as a train came through. (Tradition) It was only moments later that we observed 4 deer wandering along the tracks. Our dinner ...

      ... cool.

The Michigan Marching Band is remarkable and inimitable in size and talent and very entertaining. Half time performance was amazing. Of course, we did what all good tourists (and adopted fans) do... We took pictures at the Wolverine Statue post game.

At one point Nancy called a friend about reserving a parking spot close to campus ...
