As we were driving in the country one day, we passed this cemetery but did not stop. On the way back, I watched for it and, as it came into view, we pulled over. I ...

As you can see from the title our trip to Ann Arbor was quite uneventful. We drove around the city, got a look at the university (it's huge and incredibly spread out), and went into the Law Quadrangle which was really pretty. From there we went to dinner at Applebee's, we wanted to go to a local restaurant but we didn't really feel like looking one up. From there we headed ...

... plowed and free of ruts, ridges and pot holes.
Overall the ride went well and everyone was friendly and in a good mood. My metal studded tires worked great on my 29er, there are 400 studs in each tire. I never fell, not even when a rider right in front of me went down unexpectedly and I had to take evasive action.

... so it was really wonderful to spend 20 minutes catching up.

Thank you Ann Arbor...we didn't get nearly enough time to enjoy you, but the time we did have was the perfect pick-me-up...and to those friends/co-workers we didn't have a chance to see, I'm so sorry! Our visit was a bit last minute, so we didn't have the time to coordinate better. We'll probably be back for the holidays, so we'll see you then!

... of it was that Nancy, Kathy, Margot & Bobbie were all planning to go to their Cottage "up north" for the long (Columbus Day) weekend after the game... and they did. This left Billy & I (and espresso) to hold down the fort for a couple of days. Billy had his work assignments which ended up working out perfectly for everybody and they were very happy about what he did.
