... Jerolyn heard a noise ouside their door one night, looked out and there was a local black bear taking a shortcut through their site carrying with him a loaf of bread someone had discarded.

When Margaret and I used to go walking we had one eye on the traffic and one eye on the bush. Road signs warn motorists that bears are present in the area. Thankfully we didn't get the pleasure of meeting one.

The day started with a breakfast of Cranberry-Orange muffins and fruit. We then met with the Bakers to scope out the rally room and furnishings. Depending on how many people actually show up, it may be a little tight, but we'll manage. About 11:15 we piled in the car and drove out to Lavaca Bluffs Winery, again. ... at 6pm, but there is a code, so if we decided to go out there would be no problem. It is very warm outside, but think I will go for a walk after 8pm. They have cable, so Bob is watching TV. Tomorrow the Bakers arrive and we will view the rally room at that time. Since we are using this as relaxing time, probably will not go anywhere tomorrow, just hang out at the pool and try to stay cool. At least there is a breeze since we are close to the ...

      Headed home

A travel blog entry by germann on Jun 14, 2014

Waking up in London was both happy and sad. Happy, because we are going home to see our girls and jump back into our life! Sad, because it was so wonderful to have two weeks together, free from duties or stress. For us to have this adventure was truly a gift that we will not take for granted. It has reminded us that we are adventurers at heart. The beauty of the greek islands will stay with us as we return to Austin.
