    ... that the slide lockout mechanism was broken. Apparently there is a spring in there because I could hear it being sprung.     ... adjacent to a Walmart in Lampasas (Lamp-a-saw). The fuelling went really well - they fuelled 320 bikes in a few seconds over 13 minutes. The whole fuel stop was planned for 1 hour but we set off again after on 45 minutes due to the extreme heat. Most of the riders were taking heat shelter in Walmart and they all had to run to the bikes which resembled a 1960's 24-hour Le Mans start.
