... surprise. The second surprise was that the pasties are not crimped but folded! Definitely not a Cornish pasty - the whole point is that you could hold the crust in your hand when in the mine. Left around ten am after breakfast. No one in breakfast room. Until another couple came in were in our own. Drove over to Travers City as recommended by Andrew. Had a couple of hours there. It is by the lake and beautiful. Just had a coffee there still full from breakfast. Had a walk over the road and down by the lake took some photos. Then we headed out of Travers City. We had over one Hundred miles to do to St Ignace where we are ...
... at nchor and 20 at marinas. We burned a little over 200 gallons of diesel fuel giving us a mileage of just over 3 miles per gallon. We ate most of the food we brought with us but also sampled many local restaurants. And most importantly, after 34 days on a small boat all aboard still love each other.

... the lay-up dock. It is time to move on to other adventures but we will miss cruising with our son, Mike. We feel fortunate to have had such quality time with him this past month. But the seasons are changing and Mike will move on to another boat in Costa Rica to cruise the Sea of Cortez and we will make preparations to snowbird to Florida. Life is good.
