... a great choice with nice campsites, electricity and a lovely lake that
once was created by a beaver. The beaver is gone but man has improved upon the lake with a dam at each end and a boat ramp for non-gas powered vessels.
I expected mosquito's but only had some gnats and a few flies around the
campsite. I stayed an extra day and took time to walk around the lake (2.4 miles) and then ...

We cheerfully thanked but declined, were british don't you know &'just love the rain. We soon regretted that when the thick cloud moved over head with a mightily rumble. As we set back on the Route 66 back to Jay's, we stopped by a funny old style Tobacco Row store, within a house - so we went in to have a look at the funny set up, room set aside, log cabin full of tobacco, cigars, papers, pipe & chewing tobaccos. Anyways, it was decided that I would take my first American drive on the opposite side, down the rest of the Route 66 ...

... Only about 5 minutes later we heard them coming down the corridor chatting & getting closer. We could see it all unfold from inside our room, by looking thru our door spy hole, perfect position. We were giggling silently as they approached saying "what's that paper on there" the other said "that sure wasn't there just a minute ago when I passed, where has it come from" - we were crying with laughter as they read the note out aloud, the only other comments ...

... all of it was valuable, and could resemble a bit of a jumble table top sale. We went in ode to Brent, who would have got lost for a week in there. Let's just say, the time it took him to take us to the airport, was how long we spent in there trying to find the right gift for him - 2 hours !! Having been pleased with our purchases, we walked back to the hotel, to put our washing into the dryer. Chores done, we got 30 bucks of petrol and drove with Presley radio playing ...
