    Day 4 last relaxing day

A travel blog entry by mkasarda on Aug 01, 2014

So today is the last real day for 10 days before the ride to Sturgis and then to Alaska. I forgot what it is like to turn the cold water on from a tap and get real cold water, not warm tap water like in Florida. No cars, no trucks, the silence is deafening! Got to visit with my brother and his family. It was a good day. Now to get ready to ...

Ended a nice visit with Rose, Mike, and Nicole. Had a great time and look forward to the next one. Then on to my home town which was a quick 2 hour ride, just enough to enjoy the day. We drove to Springfield to go to the Lincoln Home it was nice how they had it set up. His house was very nice for the time Mary had some nice things especially these candle sticks ...

... ready to walk downtown. Fridman was fixing our door this morning (the wooden panel along the hinges rotted out a couple of months ago, so it’s been held together by duct tape ever since) and we needed to close Griffin (our cat, hopefully you know that by now!) into the bathroom so that he wouldn’t escape while the door was gone. Downtown was only 1.5 miles away and it was a beautiful day, so we decided to escape the lot for a few hours and ...

... hole where the old drain was, so we're going to cover that with a mesh screen so that it has easy draining capabilities. All in all, it's a thing of beauty and I'm so proud of my man! Neither of us are all that handy, but we like learning and don't mind getting our hands dirty, so this RV is teaching us a lot.

I haven't mentioned Staunton yet, have I? Does that tell you anything? We arrived there ...
