It's not all a bed of roses
... is partly blocked, and Walt is sprawled sideways across the end of the bed away from the shelf.
Me? I've eaten a piece of week-old carrot cake and two pieces of buttered bread, checked Facebook, lost two games of solitaire, won a game of "Throw inthe Vowel," and written two blog entries. Now the computer is starting to mess up, so I think I'll read -- in the semi-darkness --until I think I can get to sleep. Somewhere.
I think it's time to go home.

Serious Accident for fellow rider Brett
... the middle of nowhere was rapid and they too immediately saw the need to get Brett not just to a local hospital but a regional centre. They called for the air ambulance.
We rode on nervously to our lunch stop and saw the helicopter arrive and take off for Joplin Hospital. Father Bruce led a prayer in the car park with the shocked group as congregation. Brett had surgery that evening. He had not regained consciousness.

... to this casino by 3 this afternoon (free electric and water) when you apply for there points card (love free). Had dinner at the buffet (I have had better), and then I signed up for a poker tourny, which got canceled.........so played regular poker and yes Larry won big and was on a very hot streak....if I was not tired from driving I would have stayed around and played more....oh well thats the way it goes, will finish up the trip tomorrow and back to work....until then CYA down the ...
Oklahoma is a lot greener than we thought
... memorial. It was a very nice memorial, very much in the standard of modern public spaces that I have been to like the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach and others. As the pictures show, they went with a fairly abstract look which I think is nice. I didn't see a single mention of Timothy McVeigh or any information about what might have motivated him which I thought was a shame. Well after traveling through Baxter Springs and Commerce I have arrived in Miami, quick roll out the towels and surfs up. No wait there isn't a beach within Cooee so it is the route 66 Miami, no where near Florida. This little gem has an amazing little collection of motorbikes and a great shop front too.
