... These pieces of artwork are designed by artists and then selected by a committee to be installed for public viewing, and later auctioned off. As you can see here, a wide range of creative minds spend a good bit of energy putting on this display. You can find out more about the project and individual trees at www.portofsandiego.org/public-art.html< br><br>Next, we put on a little surf music (some ripping Dick ...
San Clemente, California, United States cowboyjim74... and I had a carnitas torta that turned out to be HUGE! Oops. Then we caught the ferry over to the fun zone where I took Kashmira on the ferris wheel and we wandered about. I have a soft spot for the fun zone but man are those arcades grubby. We caught the ferry back and picked up some supplies at the market before heading back to Brady's. When we did Kashmira went nuts when we showed her the loft where she'd be sleeping. Then it was ...
Balboa Island, California, United States scrabubbly... go in the ocean because we had to get on a plane next, but I didn't care. After frolicking in the waves for awhile, I just put my dress on again over my bathing suit and went to the airport like that. When I went to bed later on at home, there was still sand on me and I had to get up and shake it off. And even though Ben said he didn't want to get wet, his legs accidentally got submerged by a wave and soaked his shoes and socks, so he ...
Irvine, California, United States alisoncole... was the sliding doors that broke the eye contact. I can't for the life of me... Any ideas? Pacific beach was pleasant enough, though nothing much really to write home about. Apart from the fact that it was great to see a west coast sunset again, especially one that dips beneath the Pacific behind New Zealand. In the coming weeks I'd like to think I could stand on the east cape of New Zealand's north island ...
Los Angeles, California, United States scottwoz... until about 3:30 in the afternoon, its nap time. A lot of the stores close and everyone just naps, I guess. If your in a small town and need to geet something during this time, good luck. I think this is a great policy and should be implemented in the US 2. Kissing - Everyone kisses everyone on the cheek. When friends see, each other, they kiss. I tried this with my roomate when I got home, it didnt go to well. 3. Change ...
San Clemente, California, United States barthdkkIf you've ever seen the recent popular american tv show ''The OC'', this place looks exactly like the beach side in many of the scenes. Many popular surf shops nearby like Billabong and Hurley, a long peir streching out over the water with restaurants and stores on the end, expensive parkinglots close to the shore, tonnes of people tanning surfing and playing in the sand, and large sidewalks on the beach to walk, skateboard, jog, bike and inline skate on.

Los Angeles, California, United States couilla6We decided to take the day off and watch a local company make cheese. The Winchester Cheese Company is just a little drive out of Hemet, CA. We took the tour and enjoyed a peaceful day of cheese making. I was even able to reserve one of the two pound cheese cakes that we watched being made. Too cool, Eh?
Hemet, California, United States clerum... shows our location on the GPS map. Watched Freaky Friday, which was totally hilarious, as well as Spring Bear's Love - a funny Korean Movie. We were hauling ASS - we had a 150 mile per hour tail-wind, so our speed was sometimes up to 725 miles per hour - I thought that was close to the speed of sound, isn't it? Who knows, but it got us to LA about an hour early. Before we landed, I mentioned to the flight attendant that my other half is a flight attendant and would ...
