Tonight's digs are a little different. For one night only, we have booked to stay on a band tour bus in someone's yard haha. We thought it would be fun. It is, and the lounge area of the bus is kinda cool... the sleeping areas though are kinda basic, shall we say. Even a lick of paint might make it look/feel a little better, instead of just having the chipboard showing. It's like an episode of 'Changing Rooms'! It's also bloody freezing!
... Flatt and Scruggs and their former boss Bill Monroe and the fact that the shop saw performances by Hank and Patsy when they were breaking in Nashville. Then lunch at Margaritaville......that Jimmy Buffet gets everywhere. Here another acoustic troubadour sang pop, folk and country in dungarees.So within 400 Yards and before 2.30 we saw three great musical acts and willfully ignored about 20 more. Have to say though , the band near the hotel still taking that biscuit from last ...
... did take some before and after pictures. Also we picked up a box of Moon Pies to have as gifts for unsuspecting outlanders just as Ann S suggested!
Our plans right now are to pull out of here in the morning either very early to miss the traffic in Nashville, or wait until 9:00. ... they are voted off. I heard that as soon as they get off camera they are offered food. My mouth was salivating thinking of all the fast food restaurants that MUST be at the end of the Parkway. Alas, it was not so but we settled on the first fast food restaurant we saw which was thankfully a Subway.

Oh, that would have been the time to be walking through the doors and hearing the magical music...I would have loved to been in Nashville in the 60 and 70s..
