After I arrived at Narita International Airport at 23:00, I stayed overnight in a couch of the airport. On the next day, I headed for Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. The temple is famous and popular among Japanese and I was eager to go some day. When I arrived at the temple, there were only few visitors in the temple. I felt a bit uncomfortable at first, but I enjoyed strolling in their quiet garden behind the temple ...

... s just me but I haven't seen anything like that in the U.S. Maybe we do but definitely not "advertised" as it is here in Japan. I am thinking that it's good to have rooms like these so that people of faith can have some privacy and peace if they want to pray. Alright in seven or eight hour we will be in Jakarta. Hopefully we get to see a little of Tokyo by night on this ...

... the quality they use wouldn't filter a ****. I've been told it's for people who have allergies. the bulk of my trip was spent away from touristy spots, which I don't regret. I didn't really get that stereotypical feeling of what japan should be, then again I really didn't know what to expect. if I am fortunate for a return trip however, I'll definitely make sure I'm better versed in basic japanese than this ...

OVERNIGHT IN NARITA

A travel blog entry by rnvatraveler on Jan 15, 2013

... on stopping in Japan this early on and therefore didn't have my coat out, it is 3.4 degrees celsius. Fortunately, I had my fleece and long sleeves. We waited and waited for the bus, at 2150 the bus finally arrived, and took us to the hotel. We got to the hotel, in this foreign land, "I did exchange a little cash at the airport fortunately". The airline had promised us dinner and breakfast included with the voucher, when arrived at the check-in, clerk said no meals included. Typical ...
