... told me to be careful and now I felt a little safer with this in my hand.
Back at the hotel entrance I was waiting for the parking lot gate to open when I noticed a furball on the grass. It was a little doggie curled up in a ball. I called to it, but it ignored me. The gate started to close again so I reluctantly pulled forward so my car wouldn’t be crushed. I felt sick. It was so cold out. While I had no inclination to help this downtown man ...
... Memphis area. During the reception, A. C. Wharton, Jr., the mayor of Shelby County, gave a gracious speech welcoming the Choir. Choir President Mac Christensen responded in kind and other members of the administrative staff addressed the gathering.
Some 5,000 attended the concert itself. The audience received each number enthusiastically, clapping appreciatively only a few measures into “Betelehemu” when the Choir began its usual swaying motion and giving the Choir and ...

Searcy, Arkansas, United States mgibb05Hello everyone! (I just wanted to make sure this worked before I got over there!) I'm sorry to say that we still do not know exactly when we are leaving...but we do know that it will be more than two weeks after school gets out! This semester will end on May 11, but I will still be here for two more weeks because I am taking a class during ...
Searcy, Arkansas, United States mgibb05... Afterwards we caught a free bus in to town, to internet cafe to write all this. This evening we plan to dip in the pool, as the temperatures are now around 100 degrees. We head off tomorrow, west of a place called Little Rock which is en-route to Oklahoma City, which is our halfway point. I hope to update you all soon. Take care. Jim
Memphis, Tennessee, United States josman... I managed to get to Graceland okay. I arrived just as the last tour group were exiting Graceland, but the stores were still open. I stopped at Graceland for one purpose and one purpose only - to purchase a Tee shirt for a friend of mine, back in Brigham, who is an avid fan of Elvis. I found a great Tee and after taking a few photos over the grafitti covered front wall I headed into AK, wending my way toward Rolla, MO.
Hardy, Arkansas, United States montgomerylaneSurvived more thunderstorms and torrential rain to get here. Hot Springs is a bit like Bath in England, with Victorian bath houses and places for taking the waters. It is surrounded by woodland and is all very green (hardly surprising with all the rain they get). We are staying with Jeff and Na Young (who is from Korea) and baby Sydnee. Lovely location high up in the woodland. (Pictures when I get time)
Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States salandrich... days, so I'm just hanging around, doing those mundane laundry-type tasks, paying bills, etc. We'll be in North Carolina for about a week and a half, and then when we get back, just a couple of weeks and we're off to Europe for a month. So - consider this a practice run. I'll post more when we actually start travelling. Toodles!
Memphis, Tennessee, United States skrop1... and doing military-type chants but usually with a Christian twist. One of them that will probably be forever engrained in all of our memories was: "Everywhere we go, people want to know, who we are, so we tell them, We are South Point, mighty mighty, South Point." Repeat indefinitely until snack time ;)
