... the next day, and we change to get ready for the softball game at 8pm. Apparently it’s really relaxed and they all drink out of their “red cups” whilst they play. Playing softball and drinking sounds like a disaster to me, but we decided to get involved. So we stopped at the liquor store on the way to the game and get some of our favourite “Lime-a-rita’s”.

Saturday, July 11, 2015. PCT day 83. Miles 1289.4-1310.4 Today was a tough day for me. For starters, I did not get good sleep last night at the Bratten's (trail angel's) home. ... ridge before I descended down into Belden. The descent was steep, from 7000 feet to 2000 feet, with lots of poison ivy to dodge on the way down. Descending down, you begin to see the north fork of the Feather River and the podunk town of Belden, if it can even be called that. ... have complained of seeing mt. bikers several times on the PCT. And they (the mt. Bikers) are bold about it. When the rain stopped finally, I found a really nice place to camp on this cliff with an awesome view of the valley below.
