A new port of call for us when we woke up this morning – St. Helier in the Channel Island of Jersey, or the Bailiwick of Jersey to give it its correct title. Jersey is the largest of the four main Channel Islands, the others being Guernsey, Alderney and Sark. Jersey is most famous for its Jersey Royal potatoes and, of course, the light brown Jersey cows which produce the high-cream content ‘gold top’ milk.

... that smell of incense, have dangly ear rings, scarves, burlap bags, baggy tops that need a belt to function properly. Well, I love these stores. They're seriously one of my favorite places to go. The music and the peaceful vibe is amazing. I like the dim lighting. Cherbourg has a surplus of these kinds of stores, so I'm in paradise. And they have arguably the best scarves in the city. After another long train ride and transfer in Caen, we took a taxi to Europort ferry terminal to the Irish Ferries. After Bayeux we ventured on to Utah beach and then the trip back to Cherbourg. All up we did 520kms today and got in at 9:10pm.
